The Geography Department at St. Birinus School is responsible for teaching all years, from Years 7, 8 and 9 (Key Stage 3) to Years 10 and 11 (Key Stage 4/GCSE), as well as Years 12 and 13 (Advanced Level). There are six specialist geography teachers, including the Head of Department, each with a teaching room located in the new humanities block equiped with the latest projectors and tablet PCs.

We run many day and residential fieldtrips, in recent years we have visited:

Iceland (Yr12/13)
Italy (Yr10)
Swanage (Yr12/11)
Snowdonia (Yr12)
The River and Rowing Museum (Yr 8)
The Living Rainforest (Yr9)

At GCSE all students must participate in fieldwork in the local (Oxfordshire) environment.
