Work schemes in Key Stage 3 include local studies, map skills, Japan, Antarctica and Conservation in Year 7, Energy, Weather and Climate, Brazil and Rivers in Year 8 and Tourism, Crime, Ecosystems and Development in Year 9. These schemes are in the process of being revised as a rolling programme from Year 7 in the light of changes in the National Curriculum

At key stage 3 pupils are assessed throughout the year on a variety geographical areas including: patterns and processes, place, environment and enquiry. These assessments take numerous forms including newspapers, letters,booklets,presentations, investigations.
