A 12-year old girl from Oxfordshire recorded a special album inspired by her little sister, which raised £27,000 for the campain. 

Zoe Mace's dream was to help her little sister, Jodie, get better. Jodie had Down's Syndrome and has three holes in her heart, and since she was born had been looked after by staff at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

Tragically, four-year old Jodie passed away after major heart surgery Zoe with singer Brian McFadden at Local Heroesin March 2005 after her heart failed to recover.

It was her that inspired big sister Zoe to come up with the idea of recording a CD, "Little Ray of Light" (a compilation of folk and opera songs), as a way of saying "thank you" back to the medics and nurses.

The £5.99 CD, had gone out in local WH Smiths around the county - and all 5,000 copies sold within 5 weeks. 

Zoe has an incredible singing voice - and recorded her next album, ''Songs For My Sister'', in tribute to Jodie - who was truly a little ray of light. It's went on sale on 6th June.

Zoe Mace won Young Person in 2004 Fox FM AwardsAs Jodie had the open heart surgery in March 2005, and had wonderful care at the JR children's deparment, Zoe had hoped to raise £18,000, from 5,000 copies - and FOX FM even played her song live. The CD's raised an amazing £27k for the Children's Hospital fund.

Because of Zoe's incredible talent, she was awarded 'Young Person of the Year' at FOX FM's Local Heroes Awards 2004, right, and sang on stage alongside Brian McFadden, second above and Estelle.

Zoe's already quite a celebrity - and an active young lady - and has sung songs at Witney's Christmas lights switch-on at the Long Hanborough charity Christmas decorations event, and even on ITV'S GMTV.

RAF Brize Norton presents £341 to ZoeNovember 23rd - just 4 days after being named a local hero, Zoe received a cheque, from RAF Brize Norton squadron 101, opposite - for £341 for the Hospital fund - and Zoe, together with FOX FM sports reporter Daniel Freeman - took off for a 3-hour flight on a VC-10 refuelling aircraft!
